About Us
WorldServe Thrift turns shoes into scriptures, clothes into churches, furniture into faith and housewares into hope. That’s because net proceeds from our thrift shop, located in White Rock, BC, are directly invested into families and communities around the world. For 35 years, WorldServe Ministries has been active in leadership training, distribution of the Christian Scriptures, providing humanitarian aid around the world. Today, we are engaged in Cuba, China, Vietnam and Ethiopia. Full details available www.worldserveministries.ca.
WorldServe Thrift sells donated, great-quality apparel, shoes, furniture and household items - frequently items that have never been used! Items that we can’t sell are extended to organizations that can use them, including NightShift Ministries; BC SPCA, Odyssey International. Electronics with 'batteries or cords' are recycling along with metals, cords, cardboard and plastics.
We are incredibly proud of our growing team of volunteers who daily invest of themselves in every aspect of the store. Whether a high school student needing work experience or newly retired enthusiast, our team works together to sort, price, display and serve customers with excellence. Volunteer partnerships include great organizations such as Semiahmoo House Society, The Good Shepherd House, Fraser Health Care (Delta Mental Health), as well as a number of local churches and schools.
